Melt forms (ICSSG)

‘Melt forms’ as described in the International Classification for Seasonal Snow on the Ground has four subclasses; clustered rounded grains, rounded polycrystals, slush and melt-freeze crust. That and ice layers is mainly what we’re seeing now in the snowpack. The ICSSG is on the web and interesting reading.
