Snowing & Blowing

28th March 2009

Snow continuing to drift over a beautifully sculptured cornice after the showers ceased.

Frequent heavy snow showers and strong winds this morning have increased the volume of windslab present on the hills. Any exposed areas have been stripped of snow but very sheltered locations on lee slopes now hold fairly deep drifts in places. Fragile cornices are also present.
