Getting Warmer Again!

25th February 2009

The freezing level is due to rise from an overnight low of 600 metres to 1500 metres during the afternoon on Thursday. We have been forecast snow showers on strong winds overnight and during Thursday morning so there is the potential for windslab to develop which will become unstable as the freezing level rises and precipitation turns to rain. The hazard outlook is dependent on the new snow amounts. The evening weather forecasts use the most up to date information for their forecast models and will give you the best idea of how much snow is due in the area.
