No Thaw at Altitude

22nd January 2009

Came into work this morning to find that the snowgates had been closed overnight and that the snow was still being cleared from the road. Luckily some rather nice people offered me a lift!

Grampian Police Mountain Rescue Team out on a training exercise

View below taken in the Glenshee Ski Area which now has a few runs open and the lads were actively working on some of the other runs and uplift tracks today. As you can see the fences have been doing their job and there is a fair bit of snow blown in behind them.

The ploughs were busy this morning clearing the drifted snow. Tayside even used a digger to shift the excess out of the way. As you can see the road is black and access to the ski area is fine.
