The buttresses have stripped right back but the gullies have managed to hold on through the thaw at the weekend. The weather forecast for the next 24 hours looks fairly interesting – so its worth reading the main report if you are planning on going out into the hills on Thursday. Basically overnight snow on very strong winds will be followed by the freezing level rising above the summits. It’s also forecast to be wet and windy – lovely!
