Limited new snow

2nd March 2008

Overnight snowfall was fairly limited, arriving on less strong and more variable winds than expected. The temperatures actually rose to zero degrees at 900 metres for a period of time in the middle of the night allowing some consolidation of recent deposits to take place. There is limited new snow from around 800 metres.
We have been forecast snow again tonight with snow showers tomorrow on 45mph WNW winds. Hopefully we will get a bit more this time. Staying cold with the freezing level around 400 metres.
Sam
