Lean In Coire Kander

Walked into Coire Kander today to check out the conditions, only to find that it is very lean in there. Snip-Snip has started to freeze up but water was still running down the centre of the line.
There is very little snow in the coire but there are large areas of water ice underfoot making it very interesting moving up the steeper ground. Crashed twice on the bike ride in due to large sheets of ice! There is a raw wind blowing and the limited snow is very firm, but a milder night is forecast. Sorry not to be able to bring glad tidings – will keep looking…
