Another thaw.

19th February 2007

Well, the snow that is left is very hard but we lost a fair bit of cover after the recent thaw. There was about 1 cm of new snow last night, I think we are due dribs and drabs all week but unfortunately still looks warm for us. Rain tonight but dry during the day. Freezing level is due to be around 1500 metres.
If you were still keen to ski tour you could carry them up high, it’s pretty patchy but there are some largish areas.
Poor vis for seeing things today but we’ve still got more snow than we had 10 days ago.
