Another windy day
9th January 2007
Well as you can see some snow did survive last night. We wern’t sure what would be left as Cairnwell weather station recorded a 111mph gust and temps at over +5.
We had to wade the stream today, never a good way to start your day, very windy getting through the col. We’ve lost all the lower snow, most of it is above 950 metres.
Still not seeing much ice development in the Corrie, all feels a bit too dry but freezing level is dropping down tonight.
Debris was small and mostly in the Central Gully/Buttress area and some from Black Spout.
All the pics from today.
