Thawing.

12th April 2022

A cloudy morning, not much showing above 900 metres when on the hill.  Thaw conditions well and truly underway, plus 2.4 degrees Celsius, midday at 930 metres.

Continuing mild again tomorrow, rain forecast tonight but due to be dry tomorrow. Please note the highest hills in the main Cairngorms may receive some light snowfall. Worth checking latest forecasts if accessing those hills from the South.

Glas Maol. A lot of superficial snow is already gone. Snow was sloppy and wet around this level, (900 metres).

Snow soft at this level as well. Corrie rims holding reasonable depths. Any remaining cornice is prone to collapse. Rogue at 1000 metres.
