Poor visibility.

14th March 2022

Not much to see when out this morning although the cloud did start to break up as I got down.

With the freezing level around 900 metres the snow continues to thaw below this level. However there’s still reasonable cover around the higher areas. It has become quite icy again in some place and with the freezing level dropping down to 600 metres around dawn before rising to 1000 metres by the end of the afternoon conditions will be similar tomorrow.

Breakable crust on the Glas Maol Plateau around 1050 metres.
