Becoming whiter!

15th February 2022

Recent strong and variable winds have helped improve the overall snow coverage on the hill. Generally its still quite shallow but with more snow forecast hopefully it’ll continue to develop.

The Cairnwell. Becoming whiter above 800 metres, otherwise still a work in progress.

Strong steady winds, if you went looking there was quite a lot of snow blowing around. Mike making his way into a corrie.

Looking across to Cairn a Claise. Plateau cover starting to improve.

At our ‘formal’ pit site today. We stopped at a couple of locations today.

Passing through a scarp slope. Deeper deposits but isolated in distribution.

Mike on the Glas Maol plateau around 1000 metres.
