An improving day.

8th January 2022

Late morning on the tops was still very murky, fortunately it cleared up in the afternoon, always handy for blog photos!

Slightly warmer today, some consolidation of the snowpack taking place but there is a bit of snow still blowing around at higher levels.

Southerly aspects still looking the whitest.

Summit Lochnagar in the afternoon. Note drifting (right side) from plateau area.

Generally shallow unconsolidated snow at low levels.

View up to Culardoch (900 metres). Southerly aspects still look white.
