After our recent calm days it was all change with the arrival of Storm Christoph. Snowfall amounts weren’t too high but it was very windy. The weather station on The Cairnwell recorded a gust of wind around 93mph mid morning and has continued to record similar wind speeds during the day. New unstable accumulations are building rapidly in any steep lee location.

A herd of Deer shelter from the fierce winds.

Snowgates were closed today, snow drifts and poor visibility on the roads.

Most steep lee locations have deep unstable drifts on them.
