Covid -19

The Scottish Avalanche Information Service issues information to support permitted activity under current Scottish Government guidance.  Please be aware of travel restrictions within Scotland and respect local communities by referring to Scottish Government guidance and how to participate safely by referring to Mountaineering Scotland guidance.

It was a cloudy but dry day on the hill.

Overnight light snowfall with some drifting has led to new shallow snow cover developing on Southerly aspects. A few skiers were out and about using local knowledge to get the best out of these areas. Its building nicely but probably best not use the new ski’s just yet!

 

Occasionally there were some views. Thin soft cover from low levels but hard and icy where older snow is exposed to the winds.

 

New accumulations developing, mostly SE and S aspects, only achieving depth in steep lee locations.
