Poor visibility on Lochnagar.

8th March 2019

It was surprisingly wild on Lochnagar today with poor visibility and a bit of snow blowing around at 1000 metres. With the ground now becoming white, the GPS and compass were out as I made my way to and from the top of Black Spout. Definitely very different conditions from down in the glens.

Gelder Shiel and Lochnagar.

Brief light on Ben Avon.

Climbers descending into the Corrie.

The crags looking snowed up.

Poor visibility on the Lochnagar plateau.

A look over the corrie rim, some reasonable depth developing.

The top of The Black Spout.
