A blustery day on Lochnagar.

26th March 2019

It was quite a windy day, some hill cloud in the morning but cleared later. It still felt cold in the Westerly winds but as forecast the freezing level was above the summits. Continuing mild, at least until the end of the week.

A windy day, even the grouse were staying put.

Lochnagar, easier gullies holding onto some snow.

View from the Col.

The Black Spout, some rocks at the narrows otherwise complete.

Ptarmigans changing colour.

The Independence Stone. Left on the Corrie rim….a painted stone/political statement/art or rubbish on the hill?

Certainly spent a bit of time on it!

The Corries of Beinn a Bhuird.

Corrie na Ciche.
