Spot the snow contest.

21st February 2019

It was a very mild day and again it was cloudy, we actually didn’t see much in the way of snow until the summit of An Socach.

Good underfoot conditions, the hills are generally quite dry, apparently we have only had about 30% of the precipitation we should have had. Hence our limited amounts of snow!

Summit of An Socach 944 metres. The sun trying to break through.

Al looking for snow!

The Braemar Rescue Team were out training on Beinn a Bhuird today. Like us they had limited visibility but reported back poor snow conditions.

Thanks to Donald for the moody picture of Dividing Buttress.

Dividing Buttress, Beinn A Bhuird. Not a lot of snow left!
