Stunning winters day.

31st January 2019

A cold start to the day but with little wind it didn’t feel too bad on the hill.

Braemar recorded a temperature of -11 last night. Not a surprise that many areas are icing up.

Long walk in powdery unconsolidated snow.

Very few clouds around today.

The West Ridge.

 Black Spout Pinnacle.

Area of windslab under the walkers, these are generally avoidable.

Looking across the crags. They were very quiet today.

Classic day to be on the summit.
