A mild Christmas.

25th December 2018

It was a very mild day as the freezing levels lifted well above the summits. It was also very cloudy for a while but fortunately it cleared as we arrived on the top of Carn an t-Sagairt Mor.

Lets hope we see Winter return quickly!

Merry Christmas all…….

Approaching the summit of Carn an t-Saigairt Mor (1047 metres) just as the cloud cover started to break.

Descending to the Col with The Stuic and Lochnagar in the background. The hills are starting to lose their thinner cover.

The snow cover is starting to thaw and soften at all levels.

Theres now a bit more food for this mountain hare, bottom centre. Still good coverage on the higher hills such as Ben Avon in the background.
