Windy!

14th March 2018

It was a very windy day with the cloud base around 950 metres. There is some snow loss on ridges and at lower levels but otherwise there is still plenty to go at.

Todays pit site. Unlike many other W aspects this one hasn’t avalanched! There was a weak layer deeper down but it has a lot of strong layers above it. Still plenty deep snow out there.

Carn an Tuirc. Some snow loss lower down but coverage is still extensive.
