Clear but very windy.

9th March 2017

A cracking day but very windy. Felt a long way in today. There was a breakable crust on the snow resulting in a postholing slog. Good cover above 850m.

Gelder Shiel and Lochnagar.

Meikle Pap looking a bit Alpine.

Central Buttress. Winds still blowing across the crag here with cross loading occurring.

Raeburns Gull. Both this and The Black Spout still had snow blowing into them.

Eagle Ridge.

Winds scouring The Red Spout and the Southern Sector.

Resting Stags and a very white Beinn a Bhuird.
