Wet!

26th March 2016

It was a very wet day today with significant snow loss below 950 metres. Unfortunately Glenshee Ski Area lost enough snow to call it a day for the rest of the season.  Above 950 metres we had snow overnight but with the temperature around +1 at 1000 metres it wasn’t lasting long.

Rivers are in full flow.

The surface layers of the snow were highly variable. Some areas were very firm, where there had been some overnight snow it was often soft and wet. More snow forecast  on Sunday but with very strong winds.

Steps at 950 metres.
