Sunglasses Required!

8th February 2016

I love it when the weather forecast isn’t quiet right in a ‘good’ way – wasn’t expecting blue sky and sunshine today: But after yesterday it was very welcome…

So it was a case of no jacket, no hat, no gloves first thing this morning – but definitely needed sunglasses.

By midday the wind was just reaching the threshold for starting to lightly drift loose snow.

Cairnwell in the sun!

There was a large avalanche in Coire Fionn yesterday. It’s pretty wide and involves a good section of the main bowl.

Great to see the hills with snow on them again.

You definitely got the best of the day Sam. After you left I skied down coire fionn – good firm base to the snow but that was the last of the sun! Glad you had better weather than of late
