The ice is finally breaking up on Cairnwell Burn

Anyone fancy their chances crossing this ice bridge?

Take a good look – It won’t be here for long…

Although the snow and ice are holding their own at higher elevations today it does look like the very cold weather we have been experiencing is now over and a slightly milder SW airflow is going to be come established. The freezing level is rising to 2000 metres with +2 degree centigrade forecast for 1000 metres tomorrow (Friday).
