Happy Christmas

25th December 2008

Not a great day for taking photographs but we took a few. Above is the view from Beinn a’Bhuird looking West towards Carn Etchachan, with Beinn Mheadhoin on the far right. Sputan Dearg came in and out of view but was mostly in cloud.
This one is of Beinn Mheadhoin just breaking clear of the cloud, again taken from Beinn a’Bhuird.

The snow is hanging on in there and is still firm on the higher hills, so easier gullies will still be offering some climbing options. There are definitely some very icy patches around so take care – I’m speaking from experience here (another bruise to add to the collection!)

I hope the couple I met on Beinn a’Bhuird today made it to the summit and enjoyed the mulled wine they were taking there!

Right folks – got to go…it is Christmas after all!

Sam
