Wet again.

25th January 2008

Very wet and windy today but we did have some visibility. The rivers are very full.
Overall we’ve lost snow it now looks a little patchy higher up. Ski area is just about holding on.

There seems to be a couple of different views on the forecast. We are forecasting on the ‘snow and a bit of wind’, so tomorrow it’ll be winter again.

The layer below the marker is very wet. Water is hitting the hard ice layer under this and it’s starting to become very wet/slushy. With further rain/thaw this layer may become unstable.

Paul.
