The thaw slows.

26th January 2008

Despite our optimism there wasn’t quite the amount of new snow we would have liked but there are a few deeper areas about over 900 metres. It was very windy today (again). At least the thaw has slowed down a bit. Older snow cover is pretty patchy but there is still a reasonable amount about at higher elevations and in the corries. Lower runs in the ski area need more, Fionn and Glas Maol still have plenty.

Looks wet tonight but dry/windy tomorrow.

Some kayaks appeared today – remember boys and girls it can get too big!!!
